4 nights at Kings Camp
Kings Camp, in the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve of South Africa’s Greater Kruger area, overlooks a savanna plain with a waterhole frequented by wildlife. The unfenced boundary with Kruger allows animals to move freely. The camp’s luxury suites offer private verandas with plunge pools, sunken lounges, and fire pits, creating an elegant safari retreat close to nature.
Part of Greater Kruger, the Timbavati Reserve offers exceptional game viewing with free-roaming wildlife across its unfenced boundary with Kruger. Known for frequent sightings of the Big Five, elephants, leopards, and rare African wild dogs, it is home to over 40 mammal and 350 bird species. Game like giraffes, zebras, and large antelope are also regularly seen, enhancing Timbavati’s reputation as a premier safari destination.
Lions of Timbuvati
Tracking lions isn’t always easy.
I guess this shows how close you get to the lions
Leopards of Timbuvati
Hyena are very family orientated
Nature is great at adapting, animals eat the leaves off the trees, giraffes have developed long necks to get the higher leaves and elephants have trunks to reach up. When the food is higher than the trunks reach elephants simply knock the trees over to get to the leaves.
