Panglao Island, Bohol

Next stop is Panglao Island just off Bohol which was a 2 hour flight from El Nido. We stayed on Alona Beach where every other shop is a dive shop. First two dives were with Alona Piratas as they had a trip going to Pamilican Island with only five people on it. I was slightly alarmed when I descended and went to check my depth gauge, there wasn’t one. Apparently you don’t need one, just stay near guide….. The guide gave me a spare computer for the next dive. Lots of life but big currents and poor viz.

Dive 3 – Site: Spanish Tower, Pamilacan Island 12/3/25 Depth: 25m Highlites: turtles, electric clams, dragon sea moths, frog fish, winged pipe fish

Dive 4 – Site: Dakit Dakit , Pamilacan Island 12/3/25 Depth: 25m Highlites: turtles and beautiful coral

High seas made it challenging getting on and off the taxi boat…..

As you’ll all know I’m not squeamish when it comes to food but I skipped on lunch for several reasons, I could cope with the cook smoking as a bit of ash never killed anyone, I could cope with the same knife wing used for salad, fruit, chicken, noodles and bread…. But using the same knife to clean your nails and coming out of the toilet that doesn’t have tissues scratting your ass, nein danke !

Dive 5 – Site: Black Forest , Balicasag Island 13/3/25 Depth: 28m, Highlites: Turtles

Dive 6 – Site: Rudies Rock, Balicasag Island 13/3/25 Depth: 22m, Highlites:

Dive 7 – Site: Local Reef, Alona Beach, 13/3/25 Depth: 18m, Highlites: sea snakes
